Increase efficiencies with compact technologies
Portable Remotely Operated Drill
Our proprietary Portable Remotely Operated Drill (PROD) seafloor drilling system for geotechnical surveys has advanced through years of development. The latest iteration, the 4,000m depth-rate PROD produces a drilling system that, while remaining 3-5 times faster at a water depth of 1,300m with soft soil conditions, is at least equally competitive with drillships in shallow water environments where geologies are commonly more complex and difficult to drill. The productivity gains result in material savings to the client, through fewer days in the field, and less exposure to the crew onboard.
Versatile and Lightweight Observation ROV
Our VALOR (Versatile and Lightweight Observation ROV) has also been developed with project efficiency in mind. Reaching beyond its class, the VALOR is one of the lightest yet most powerful observation ROV available. Acteon is synonymous with providing fully integrated sensor packages for use on larger work class ROV’s. This same approach was the focus for the design and development of the VALOR platform enabling customers to conduct surveys, light intervention tasks and inspections from a small, reliable and cost-effective system.

Real-time data capture
We also increase efficiency on projects by integrating real time data capture into our equipment in the field to better understand performance. Years of successful technology implementation has, for example, allowed our Electronics and Tooling segment to develop new products to provide subsea integration of multi-sensor packages. These include real-time digital video systems for full ocean depth and autonomous subsea gyro, amongst others.
These are only a few examples of the bespoke and advanced solutions we provide our customers to suit their project needs. With in-house product development, our advanced tooling technologies cover the life cycle of a project from site investigation to installation, inspection, monitoring, lifting, cleaning, connecting, cutting and component removal.
