UTEC iSite was utilised to deliver interactive visualisations of customer’s facilities. The client required a powerful cloud-based solution that could be accessed through standard internet browsers, with no need for additional software.
The client needed to reduce visits to an offshore facility, minimise environmental impact, and drive cost out of planning and communication through the supply chain, whilst ensuring accuracy and reliability of digital data.
To reduce project footprint and risk, including minimising offshore visits and helicopter trips to the installation for site survey scopes and achieve cost savings of up to 40% over a two-year period.

We digitise our domain knowledge
- Historically existing laser scan data was acquired specifically to support engineering projects. Once the data had served its purpose it was archived and generally never reused for future requirements. The UTEC iSite consolidated this valuable data into a user-friendly secure web-based solution for access by the whole business and approved supply chain.
- Users were able to explore the facility remotely via high-definition spherical imagery, taking measurements or adding custom tags to enable project planning and remote collaboration.
