INTEGRATED NEARSHORE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Acteon provides nearshore construction services for marine facilities; these range from geophysical and geotechnical surveys and engineering services to piledriving, foundation work and mooring. Our integrated solutions and domain knowledge help customers to reduce project footprints, increase efficiency, and significantly lower the total cost of infrastructure construction and installation. Our offering includes services that reduce carbon emissions and limit the impact on the environment.
INFRASTRUCTURE for the LNG, RESOURCES and MINING industries
We offer a complete pile installation package, including in-house design engineering, piling templates, pile lifting, handling equipment, relief drilling, socketing, driving, drive–drill–drive and foundation and structural grouting. Our team has decades of experience of installing clusters of piles and we are market leaders in extra-large diameter (XL) monopile installation.
With a focus on new-build and new supply models, we look to increase project efficiency and minimise the carbon footprint. We have provided foundation packages for numerous LNG and resource terminal developments, including in remote or challenging locations, some of which are shown in the table.
Project/client | Location | Scope |
Cerrejón mine/Ferrovial | Colombia | Integrated piling service for an export terminal: 172 vertical and inclined piles |
LNG facility/ExxonMobil | Papua New Guinea | Supply and operation of all drilling and piling equipment |
Taboguilla fuel terminal/Decal | Panama | Drive–drill–drive for 30 piles |
MARINE CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE
We have a highly experienced team that provides world-class, bespoke foundation solutions and installation for marine civil infrastructure projects under a single contract. This reduces the risk for customers and simplifies the supplier interface.
Our pile-top drilling rigs can drill 0.5–8.0m diameter sockets. By applying our underreaming capability, we can install large monopiles and clusters of smaller piles without needing foundation grouting. We also have a range of market-leading hydraulic hammers to complement the drilling fleet. In the marine civil industry, we focus on bridges and leisure and transport ports and harbours, including new-build, expansion and repair projects.
We like to challenge convention, an approach that leads to innovative installation methods, increased efficiencies and decreased costs. Our record includes the examples shown in the table.
Project/client | Location | Scope |
Brisbane New Farm River Walk | Australia | Reverse circulation pile-top drilling service, inclusive of underreamers for the installation of rock sockets |
Kennacraig ferry terminal | UK | Underreaming drilling service for the installation of 16 rock sockets |
Port Mann Bridge II | USA | Hammer and piling service |
Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line bridge | Japan | Hammer and piling service |
AQUACULTURE and other MARINE FACILITIES
