The Manta 200 CPT

Reliable, agile and cost-efficient offshore geotechnical testing

Building on proven seabed Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) expertise, we have invested in a new Geomil Manta 200 - a versatile CPT system for offshore energy projects.

This compact in-house system allows to respond faster to client requests, reduce logistics complexity and ensure consistency, reliability, and flexibility.

Perfect for shallow-water applications, the Manta 200 kN system is ideal for conducting CPT for wind farm developments. It can also be used in deep water (up to 1500 m) settings for other offshore energy initiatives.

How Manta 200 CPT works

The Manta 200 CPT is a compact, containerised seabed CPT system that can be quickly mobilised on vessels, removing the need for specialist drill ships. Once deployed to the seabed, its continuous drive mechanism pushes the cone smoothly into the ground, capturing real-time data on soil strength and stratigraphy for foundation and cable-route planning.

With adjustable ballast and a modular design, the Manta 200 CPT adapts easily to different water depths and seabed conditions, providing a reliable and efficient solution for offshore geotechnical investigations.

The Manta 200’s modular and ballast-adjustable design allows it to be configured precisely for the project at hand, offering flexibility across a wide range of offshore geotechnical tasks.

Act on cost, control and operational efficiency for every shallow-depth decision

Proven across offshore wind and port projects with repeatable precision, the Manta 200 kN CPT system provides cost-effective foundation insight without compromising quality. Backed by UTEC’s in-house specialist team, this compact and versatile CPT system ensures consistency, maintenance and data integrity.
