Making smarter, risk-informed decisions

Real-time inspection data, combined with domain expertise, supports better decision-making. Operators gain the insight needed to prioritise maintenance and reduce offshore exposure across critical marine infrastructure.

Subsea inspection

Providing clarity and confidence, below the surface

Our subsea inspection services deliver reliable, high-resolution data on structural condition, corrosion and marine growth, giving operators and asset owners the insight they need to act decisively. We deploy Class II and III ROVs equipped with 3D photogrammetry, ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurement, cathodic protection (CP) sensors and acoustic imaging systems to assess asset integrity in real time. Our teams support both planned and reactive campaigns, helping to reduce unplanned outages, maintain compliance and inform maintenance decisions. With deep technical expertise and a flexible delivery model, we provide clarity beneath the surface, wherever and whenever it’s needed.

Geophysical survey

Mapping the unseen to protect what matters

Our geophysical surveys deliver high-resolution mapping and subsurface characterisation to support safe, efficient offshore operations. Using a range of sensors - including side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profilers, magnetometers and multibeam echosounders - we provide detailed insight into seabed conditions, buried infrastructure and potential hazards. This data underpins everything from baseline assessment to late-life decommissioning planning. With over 50 inspection surveys completed globally, we help customers reduce risk, optimise inspection and intervention campaigns, and make confident, informed decisions. Our expert teams and partner-orientated approach ensure geophysical insights translate directly into operational value.

Our technology

iSite is Acteon’s digital platform for storing, visualising and analysing offshore inspection and survey data. It gives operators on-demand access to integrated datasets - helping them plan smarter, respond faster and reduce the need for offshore personnel across the asset lifecycle.

Subsea cable survey and monopile inspection for Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind

Acteon supported Dominion Energy with high-res cable and monopile inspections offshore Virginia, enabling safe expansion of its 2.6 GW wind farm development.

Digital data management

Turning inspection data into actionable insight

Acteon’s digital data solutions give operators secure, 24/7 access to inspection and survey data, wherever and whenever they need it. By centralising data across campaigns, assets and lifecycle stages, we support more strategic maintenance planning, reduces the need for offshore personnel and helping ensure regulatory compliance. With built-in visualisation and reporting tools, we simplify decision-making and improve transparency across teams.

Our technology

iSite brings together inspection, monitoring and survey data in one platform. Designed for offshore asset integrity, it helps teams track trends, flag anomalies and generate reports, all without needing to mobilise. It’s this reliable, digital visibility that drives better offshore outcomes.

The integrity illusion: Why reactive maintenance is costing offshore operators more than they think

Most marine infrastructure has a prescribed shelf life. But in practice, it’s often expected to remain in service well beyond it. Across offshore energy, platforms, moorings and subsea cables are operating well past their intended lifespans. Yet many operators still rely on outdated, time-based inspection regimes that miss early warning signs - leaving them vulnerable to unplanned outages and costly failures.

Site investigation and characterisation: Why early offshore seabed mapping is critical for project success?

Every offshore project begins with one critical step: understanding what lies beneath the seabed. But when decisions are based on incomplete or low-resolution data, the consequences can be costly. While construction planning and foundation procurement are often prioritised, early marine surveying is too often scoped as an afterthought.
