Subsea articulating bearing systems
Subsea articulating bearing systems from SRP are a cost-effective method of limiting peak loads and fatigue damage in components subject to oscillating motions, such as in mooring lines and riser towers.
SRP can conduct a detailed finite element analysis (FEA) of bearings to predict wear, which is useful in high and eccentrically loaded applications when the bearing manufacturer will not recommend use. Independently tested spherical and cylindrical bearings are also available for use in oscillating subsea applications and can provide engineering support to integrate bearings in a system.
Articulating bearings can be packaged with the Rocksteady connector, which can withstand extreme cyclic bending loads to provide a robust and reliable structural connection system.
Delivered by SRP
SRP specialises in fatigue loaded applications, including risers and moorings; high strength steel components and welding. Its expertise also extends to general subsea engineering, equipment integration, quality control and procurement – all skills developed from a heritage in subsea high-pressure riser supply.
Integrate this product
Acteon solutions can simplify the interface between Acteon and customers that need more than one of its operating companies’ products or services to address their subsea challenges, whatever their scale and complexity. Each combination is packaged as a customer-specific integrated service and delivered through a single Acteon point of contact under a single contract.
