Utilising grouts for structural strengthening of offshore structures.
Grouts can be used to address various challenges resulting from the degradation of offshore structures. For example, grouted clamps can be used to repair damaged tubular jacket members, with the grout providing full surface contact between the clamp and a kinked, gouged, or pitted member, enabling structural integrity to be reinstated.
Grouts can also be utilised to increase the load-bearing capacity and stiffness of a structure in advance of new topsides or additional modules being installed. The development of ultra-high performing grouts in recent years enables us to specify and install grouts with enhanced structural properties, further increasing the applicability of grouted solutions in structural strengthening.
