LTM components (H Link) design & fabrication
The InterMoor deepwater H-link is composed of plates and pins that are specifically designed with a corrosion allowance for long term mooring.
H-links were developed in 2001 to replace the old technology of shackles and thimbles.
- Improved strength (recent MBL tests of over 2700te)
- More reliable connection where all links undergo stringent fatigue and corrosion design analysis and use carefully selected steel in line with class society grades (R4, R4S and R5)
- Easier on-deck installation features (hold off shackles, free deck standing and improved bolt/nut technology).
InterMoor holds the world record currently for the largest/strongest H-Link (7000kg/2744te). All H-Links provided by InterMoor are fully DNV and ABS approved.
