Riser Handling Tools design engineer build

Evolved from the SRP Rocksteady’s proven high capacity collet locking mechanism; the ATEX handling tool can lift, fill and pressure test large diameter risers. It uses the same high capacity collet locking mechanism to lock into a machined groove in the bore of the riser.

A full design, engineer and build service delivered by SRP.

The tool is ideal for handling joints with wellhead profiles with a separate lock on ID groove and protected seal areas.

Coupled with SRP’s proprietary locking profile in the flange and optional bore seal, the tool offers maximum security with higher load and pressure testing capability.

The SRP lifting and handling tool is designed and manufactured to API specification 7K and 8C (ISO 13535) to 350t SWL – higher load ratings are available. Lifting and handling tools that interface with flange bolts, wellheads and API clamp hubs can also be supplied.

Delivered by SRP

SRP specialises in fatigue loaded applications, including risers and moorings; high strength steel components and welding. Its expertise also extends to general subsea engineering, equipment integration, quality control and procurement – all skills developed from a heritage in subsea high-pressure riser supply.
