Cathodic protection (CP) platform anode retrofit
Deepwater's engineers have retrofit new anodes on more fixed platforms worldwide than anyone else.
Unlike designing anode systems for new platforms, a retrofit designer must consider the state of the remaining cathodic protection. Often this data is not available, and the designer must make certain assumptions based on experience. Deepwater’s engineers have retrofit new anodes on more fixed platforms worldwide than anyone else.
- Underwater welding – Early methods of replacing consumed anodes involved a one-for-one replacement with underwater welding. This method is extremely expensive, so it wasn’t long before operators sought newer methods.
- Dual anode clamp-ons – Rather than welding, divers can also bolt anodes to structural members and electrically connect the anode with through contact screw.
Delivered by Deepwater
Deepwater is a global leader in subsea corrosion control for all asset types, including oil and gas platforms, coastal terminals and offshore wind turbines.
Integrate this product
Acteon solutions can simplify the interface between Acteon and customers that need more than one of its operating companies’ products or services to address their subsea challenges, whatever their scale and complexity. Each combination is packaged as a customer-specific integrated service and delivered through a single Acteon point of contact under a single contract.
