In connection with the construction of the floating concrete structures for the Equinor Hywind Tampen project, InterMoor, the lead brand for Acteon’s Moorings and Anchors segment, is providing support during the construction phase of the project.
The company Tronds Marine Service AS has delivered a barge that is used during the slip forming of each of the 11 floating concrete substructures.
InterMoor in Norway secured a mooring system for the barge during this phase of the project.
The scope of work includes supply, mobilisation and demobilisation of the following mooring equipment:
- 4250 metres of 76mm dia NV R4 stud link chains in various lengths
- 12 large anchors ranging from 12Ton to 22Ton

This project started in March 2021 and will continue until June 2022.
InterMoor in Norway has over 30 years’ experience delivering mooring equipment to projects inshore and offshore along the Norwegian coastline. For this project, InterMoor relied on their large inventory and used their access to eight deepwater quays and priority berthing from their shore-based facility in Wergeland base in Sløvåg. The base is equipped with dedicated mooring handling equipment and load-out services were provided from our facilities using our experienced personnel, minimizing mobilisation time, and ensuring reliability.
