Solution

Turnkey survey solution

UTEC, Acteon’s Geo-services business line, was contracted by Subsea7 to provide survey services for the Sakarya gas field development offshore Türkiye in the Black Sea.

Customised delivery in a challenging environment

To integrate seamlessly with the multiple vessels and overcome water depths ranging from 100 m to 2000 m with a complex seabed terrain, we supplied a versatile and experienced team and high-specification hardware.

Our solution

01High-specification equipment and personnel to support complexity

High-specification equipment and personnel to support complexity

We mobilised high-specification survey equipment and personnel on three Subsea7 vessels to support the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract. The delivery included pre-dredging surveys, dredging, pre-lay surveys, long-baseline (LBL) array installation, and calibration, along with survey and positioning.

Digital technologies such as subsea remotely operated vehicle (ROV) sensors, LBL hardware and surface PC spreads were integrated with the survey spread to extensively de-risk the project.

02Innovations in action

Innovations in action

Sonardyne FUSION 2, SLAM and sparse LBL solutions were used to decrease the volume of subsea equipment required and reduce vessel time for the installation of high-accuracy positioning arrays.

To deliver reliable insights, we used high-end data acquisition equipment such as Visualsoft video acquisition and EIVA acquisition and processing suite.

The result

Our survey solution was carefully tailored to the challenging environment and demanding project, to deliver fast and reliable insights.

Subsea Integration Alliance, a strategic global alliance between Subsea7 and OneSubsea™ was satisfied with how efficiently our survey services supported their integrated EPCI project scope awarded by Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. (TPAO).
