AQUATIC COMPLETES INFIELD UMBILICAL INSTALLATION IN GHANA
Aquatic, the flex-lay and retrieval brand in Acteon’s Energy Services division completed its work scope in the offshore installation on an infield umbilical in Ghana. The work was done for DeepOcean Ghana on the Maersk Forza vessel for the EN09 Tullow Ten Project. During the initial stage of the project, Aquatic provided DeepOcean Ghana with the front-end project engineering services, including equipment selection and installation review by Aquatic’s specialists, prior to project execution.
Following on from that, Aquatic also provided experienced personnel to deliver the offshore operations. The whole project was managed through the UK office. Through its local presence, Aquatic manages all its personnel and equipment logistics in-country, providing cost efficiencies to the client.
Aquatic’s contribution to the whole life cycle of this project has been well complimented and acknowledged by DeepOcean Ghana. The close partnership with DeepOcean Ghana from the frontend planning stage has led to the successful offshore execution of the project. DeepOcean Ghana Lead Engineer said: “Aquatic’s contribution has been outstanding throughout as you will see in the feedback form. Very professional – this aligns with the wording for both our experienced deck foremen and shift supervisors.”
