Acteon can remove all subsea and floating field infrastructure, including suspended subsea wells, or provide individual elements of this overall service, such as floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit removal. This service includes engineering; project management; procurement of rigging and towing equipment; disconnecting and recovering risers, umbilicals and mooring lines; and procedures and execution for disconnecting and towing floating units.

The Acteon field life service team drives the planning, project management and engineering phase that evaluates the potential for using complementary decommissioning methods. We integrate and deliver all the products and services from Acteon’s operating companies required to decommission a subsea production facility, including our FPSO unit redeployment and decommissioning capabilities. This provides one integrated solution to simplify interfaces, overcome the limitations of conventional decommissioning approaches, and achieve improved outcomes at a lower cost.

Our FPSO unit removal and rigless suspended well abandonment and subsea infrastructure removal services are complementary. Together, they provide project management and vessel efficiencies that can lower the total cost of decommissioning. For example, the same workboat and project management team used for subsea infrastructure removal supports FPSO unit removal, including retrieving the umbilicals and severing the risers and recovering them from the seabed.

In addition, all these services are managed by the same team and procured and delivered under the same contract. This helps to reduce your administrative and management overheads because you do not need to manage multiple contractors.

We are sufficiently confident in our ability to deliver savings that we will consider innovative commercial terms such as performance-based contracts.
