A VALUED GLOBAL PARTNER FOR INSTALLING, MAINTAINING AND REMOVING MARINE INFRASTRUCTURE

Acteon supports marine projects for the offshore renewable energy, nearshore construction and oil and gas industries by delivering services with demonstrable commercial and environmental benefits which are enabling the energy transition.

We provide specialist services and innovative products to major contractors and operators. Our focus has always been on solving customers’ challenges by engineering the most efficient solution. A key aspect of this is our ability to lower the operational footprint of a project, without compromising on quality, by applying domain expertise and value engineering methods to remove unnecessary equipment or resources; our focus is to be asset light. Our reach is both global and local, delivering successful projects in every marine environment worldwide.

Infrastructure and insights

The products and services in the Acteon portfolio deliver value for customers in two key areas: support for physical infrastructure tasks and insights from our expertise and the data we gather.

In terms of infrastructure, we have one of the largest global fleets of specialist equipment, including pile hammers and subsea drills that can be deployed from any type of vessel. The insights we offer come from the collection, interpretation and utilisation of data that we have gathered on behalf of customers or in the course of our own research and development programmes. We use this digital information to improve the performance of our customer’s marine assets and the performance of our equipment.

We specialise in digital information data collection and survey techniques ahead of construction, the installation of key foundation and anchoring technologies, the monitoring and management of assets and the decommissioning of assets.

We also provide customers with measurable environmental benefits that result in a smaller carbon footprint or methods that support the renaturalisation of the seabed. We recognise that the global energy market is in a period of profound change as we transition to a low-carbon future. Acteon is playing its part in this process; we anticipate that at least 50% of our business will be from renewable energy projects by 2025.

A marine energy and infrastructure services partner for the energy transition

At Acteon, our aim is simple: to be the preferred engineering, services and technology partner for all our customers. Through a focus on technical improvement and customer service, we are enabling the energy transition across marine infrastructure and delivering strong commercial and environmental benefits in a complex and rapidly changing market.

Many marine energy operators are seeking new and more efficient ways of working. This includes, for example, choosing a smart partnering approach with specialist service providers who can be trusted to deliver a ‘subassembly’ that fits seamlessly into the overall project solution. Acteon is at the forefront of this new model.

We focus on three key areas:

  • Solving our customers’ challenges by applying value engineering methods to support the transition to clean energy
  • Developing innovative, safe and dependable services that create commercial advantages and carbon efficiencies for our customers
  • Promoting a culture that enables our talented workforce to provide excellent customer service and supports our people throughout careers that are both challenging and rewarding.
Our values

What drives us

A top priority for Acteon is reducing project footprints and adding commercial value by engineering solutions that minimise the equipment and resources required to fulfil a task. We can do this, for example, by designing and operating our equipment in ways that enable a reduction in the vessel size requirement for an installation project. At the same time, we focus on minimising the environmental impact of operations by providing services that reduce carbon emissions, limit impacts on the environment or return the seabed to its natural state.

The modern world runs on data, so we are digitising our domain knowledge to enhance our expertise, accelerate learning and optimise designs and maintenance schedules.

We provide a fully integrated offering, new products and services aligned with customers’ needs and a strong platform for delivering commercial benefit. We will leverage local content to help us establish and thrive in new markets. This will include optimising supply chains so that we can deliver excellence wherever we operate.

Structured to meet customers’ needs

Our branded services, product lines and expertise are structured into eight strategic business segments that align with our customers’ needs.

We also offer an integrated project management service through Acteon Integrated Solutions (AIS). This involves managing the activities of one or more of our companies on a customer’s behalf and providing a single point of contact for all aspects of project management. Contact the AIS team.
