One of Acteon's specialities is the delivery of permanent mooring systems installed using cost-efficient anchor handler tug supply (AHTS) boats and other non-conventional construction vessels.
A permanent mooring is defined as a mooring that will provide station-keeping for a floating facility over a period of several years with only minimal maintenance. In most cases this will mean that the vessel will be engaged in floating production activities. The design period could be 10 years or more and may be in excess of 25 years. Some on-going projects are considering 40- and 50-year design lives.
Acteon has extensive permanent mooring experience and has provided mooring installations/tow/hook-up/FPSO redeployment to clients such as Nexen, Petrofac, Shell and ATP.
