Established in 1989 with a focus on engineered solutions between the interface of well conductors and production facilities, the business organically developed through the 1990’s.  Expansion of services and equipment became a key focus and drove the now well recognised acquisition strategy the business is renowned for today.

As the focus became more subsea orientated, in 2004 the Acteon brand replaced that of UWG Group.  Over the last decade Acteon Group has grown nearly 10 fold into the Global Subsea services company it is today – organic growth still being the dominant area whilst acquisitions are still strategically targeted.

Acteon’s aim continues to be to Define, Shape and Lead the subsea service market. Acteon also has an impressive track-record of commercialising new technologies and establishing and successfully growing new start-up businesses (such as Large Diameter Drilling (“LDD”), Subsea Riser Products (“SRP”), Conductor Installation Services (“CIS”) and Pulse Structural Monitoring (“Pulse”).
